Rules
Tournament Model
CapCup tournament includes six (6) teams. The teams are divided into two initial groups, which means two initial group matches per team.
After the initial group matches, the tournament continues with placement matches and a final. Each team plays 3-5 matches during the afternoon depending on the placement. The match duration is a running 25 minutes and it is played with 8v8 lineup on a half-field. The tournament follows the Finnish Football Association's JKKI-rules.
Special instructions for the game:
- Off-side is not in effect.
- Goal kick can be given anywhere from the penalty area.
- The goalkeeper can kick the ball from his hands and throw it over the center line.
- For free kicks, the wall must be at least 5.5 m away from the ball.
- The penalty kick is taken 7.5 m from the goal.
The winners of the initial groups advance directly to the placement matches. A total of four matches are played in the placement matches: The 2nd and 3rd of the initial groups qualify to the placement matches with one additional match. Match pairs for placement matches are drawn on site and the winners of the placement matches advance to the final.
if three teams from the same group advance to the semi-finals after the quarter-finals, the winner of the second group will face the team that finished third according to the original group results.
Scoring
The standigs of the inital group are determined based on points:
- win 3 points
- draw 1 point
- loss 0 points
The victory of the initial group is primarily determined by the number of points. If the points are tied, the winner is the winner of the mutual game of the initial group. If this game has ended in a tie, the situation is resolved 1) by goal difference, 2) by the number of goals and 3) finally by drawing lots.
If the placement match or final ends in a draw, the winner is determined by a penalty shootout (3 attempts per team, followed by sudden death).

- at least two women on the field
- at least one +50 y.o. on the field
- max. two under 35-year-olds
! N.B. The age rule does not apply to the goalkeeper.
CapCup is a football tournament intended for Capgemini's client companies, so the players of the team must be employed by the represented company during the tournament.
We reserve the right to change the rules before the start of the tournament day and after the tournament day for the following year's tournament.
